Denis Gaidashev proposes to use the renormalization theory to approach the problem, a method that was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965. The project expects to use computers both for numerical computations and for computer-aided proofs.

We study one of the central open questions in one-dimensional renormaliza-tion theory – the conjectural universality of golden-mean Siegel disks. We present an approach to the problem based on cylinder renormalization proposed by the second au-thor.
